Welcome! My name is Whitney Butler, and I am entering my 10th year in education. My background includes a short, yet successful career in educational achievements, commitment, and growth since becoming a teacher in 2014. I am licensed for K-6 education and have taught in sixth grade, kindergarten, second grade, and first grade. I am a Level 5 teacher with a professional license and a PreK-12 administration endorsement. While in the classroom, I showed growth most years including the 2020-2021 school year where sixth grade social studies had the highest growth score on TNReady in the state, according to TVAAS data.
In 2018, I obtained my Master's in Curriculum and Instruction from Carson-Newman University. I received my Education Specialist degree in Instructional Leadership from Lincoln Memorial University in 2019. I have also completed the first year of my Doctor of Education in Instructional Leadership program at LMU. I am eager to utilize my knowledge and skills to lead and mentor the teachers and staff of Newport Grammar School.
